Hong Kong Air Cargo Terminals Limited (Hactl) has won the Retail and Supply Chain Management category at the APICTA Awards 2013.
The Asia Pacific Information and Communication Technology Alliance (APICTA) Awards 2013, now in its thirteenth year, recognise innovative and creative ICT solutions that contribute to the community and the economies in the region. There were 225 entries from 12 economies competing for 17 category awards this year and only one winner per category would be awarded. All short-listed nominees were invited for a presentation to a panel of judges from the region between November 24 and 26. The announcement was made in the Awards Presentation Ceremony and Gala Dinner at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Center on 27 November 2013.
Hactl’s COSAC-Plus is the air cargo management system that enables freight forwarders, airlines, Airport Authority, government departments and related organisations to monitor and process the air cargo shipments 24 hours a day. More than 4,000 users use the system to communicate and share information. Over 1,000,000 data transactions are made every day. The system also facilitates e-Air Waybill and e-Freight, contributing to the paperless air cargo business.
